A day with Cambridge, an in-service teacher training seminar under the auspices of International House Oxford Group Lecce and Cambridge English

“A Day with Cambridge” it is among the seminars organised by Cambridge English to enable teachers to stay up-to-date and interact with internationally renowned experts from Cambridge. .
International House Oxford Group Lecce organised the event at the Grand Hotel Tiziano e dei congressi in Lecce last 12th December.
Cambridge English seminars provide valuable information, tips for improving student engagement, and professional development for teachers.
Each workshop is presented by a Cambridge English professional, who you can ask questions of in dedicated Q&A sessions.
The works
After the greetings from the managing director of IH Oxford Group Lecce, Emanuele Sponsiello, appeared via an online link Emma Holey, managing director of the International House World Organisation, the worldwide organisation of language schools to which Oxford Lecce belongs affiliated for 2 years already.
Following this, the interesting talk by the teacher trainer from Cambridge University, Claire Ross. The workshop focused on supporting teachers to combine ongoing informal assessment with more formal language and skills testing. The aim was to create a detailed picture of students' experiences. There was also a focus on self-assessment and self-reflection as tools for growth, which include learning to correctly interpret and utilise feedback from the students themselves.

There was a large turnout at the event, which saw the registration of over 150 teachers who found themselves in the Tiziano Room of the Grand Hotel in Lecce.
The final surprise
At the end of the meeting, a big surprise for the participants: two young pupils from the International Montessori School “International House Oxford Group Lecce”, in class V of Primary School, drew 3 names from a compass among the teachers present: everyone had their badge, assigned at the entrance to the hall with their first and last name, collected. 3 online courses up for grabs organised by IH Oxford Lecce.
Great was everyone's surprise and especially the winners' satisfaction.
A social event!
many have, ultimately, left their smile inside the Instagram frame prepared for the event and which will feature participants' faces on the school's social media pages. .
In the coming days, attending teachers will receive the certificate via the email used for registration.
