A great moment of sharing and recognition for the commitment shown throughout the academic year that concluded last June. This is how the awards ceremony Certificates for the courses organised by the’International House Oxford Lecce for the 2024/2025 period at the Best Western Leone di Messapia Hotel & Conference in Lecce.

For the courses Young Learners, Teens e Adults It was a well-attended ceremony, where the participants were able to see their work recognised.

The director of IH Oxford Lecce, Emanuele Sponsiello, welcomed families with their children and teenagers, as well as individual students who have invested in their language training.

During the two moments the ceremony unfolded, first for the youngest and then for the older ones, the headmaster explained the Guidelines that IH Oxford, . a leader in linguistic training in the region for over 40 years, meticulously organises courses as a language school and conducts exams as a Cambridge English Platinum Centre.“Having become part of the International House World Organisation's global network, we are subject to continuous checks and inspections to ensure we maintain the high standards required to join the vast IH World network.”explained.

In short, a course with the IH Oxford Lecce label is a guarantee of quality and competence. Emanuele Sponsiello also explained the news for the next school yearthe’English Camp for the younger ones who will be busy for two weeks with games and leisure time at a well-equipped beach in the company of qualified tutors and native-speaking teachers for activities entirely in the language; for the older ones Language lab e Chat room where to invest one's time, whether in delving deeper into the course topics or completing exercises, or in engaging in language conversations that improve lexicon and vocabulary.

Alongside the director, the Headteachers of the courses which recognised the commitment of the students who got them this far to receive the examination certificate issued by the University of Cambridge, each for their own level.

A necessary step also that of the Head of Study Holidays, Mariella Padula, which every year plans study holidays abroad, guaranteeing youngsters a unique experience in their language learning journey, within high-level colleges that welcome students from all over the world, for a carefully selected and constructed programme so that contact with compatriots is limited as much as possible to allow for the full application of English.

Delivery of certificates and prize draw

To kick off the certificate handovers, the Course coordinator, Serena Saracino, who, together with the director, called first the younger ones onto the stage, then later the older children and adults, who received the Cambridge certificate, as well as the attendance certificate for the International House courses.

To make it all more zingy, The prize draw which all those present participated in. For the Young Learners category, 5 students won a £500 voucher  to spend on a course in the 2025/2026 academic year; for the Teens category, 5 young people each won a voucher for 200 euros to invest in a study holiday to be defined shortly; for adults, one student has won a voucher gifted by International House Manchester for a 2-week course at their overseas location.

A great satisfaction for everyone, for an official event that will become in the following years an event to put in the diary For all IH Oxford Lecce students who complete their language training course with an annexed Cambridge Certification.
