Bike to school and new trees with Forestale officers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the occasion of<strong> 19th International Energy Saving Day<\/strong>, ,\u2019<em>International House Oxford Group Lecce<\/em> actively participated in the project \u201c<strong>Earth Hour 2023<\/strong>\u201daimed at demonstrating individual and collective commitment to the environment.<\/p>\n<p>There are many initiatives related to energy saving and sustainable lifestyles being implemented in public bodies and schools: switching off lights, environmental education lessons, anti-waste lunches in school canteens, and bike-to-school initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordlecce.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/mobilit\u00e0.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-4960\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordlecce.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/mobilit\u00e0-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>The Oxford Institute<\/strong>, with the practical collaboration of teachers Salvatore Papa and Anna Maria Rosato, wanted to actively involve families, inviting the pupils' parents on the day of <em>Thursday 16 February<\/em> to walk or cycle with their children, and take a group photo at the entrance to the school.<\/p>\n<p>Later, during the day <em>Friday 17 February<\/em>, always in the shadow of choices favouring the Environment, our school hosted the <strong>Coastguard Carabinieri of San Cataldo<\/strong> for the planting of plants and shrubs, belonging to our Mediterranean scrub, in the school courtyard.<\/p>\n\n<div uk-grid class=\"uk-child-width-1-3\">\n\n            <div class='uk-text-center'>\n\n            \n            <a href='https:\/\/www.ihoxfordlecce.it\/en_gb\/ambiente3-2\/'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ihoxfordlecce.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ambiente3-1-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n            \n        <\/div>\n            <div class='uk-text-center'>\n\n            \n            <a href='https:\/\/www.ihoxfordlecce.it\/en_gb\/ambiente2\/'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ihoxfordlecce.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ambiente2-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n            \n        <\/div>\n            <div class='uk-text-center'>\n\n            \n            <a href='https:\/\/www.ihoxfordlecce.it\/en_gb\/ambiente-2\/'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ihoxfordlecce.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ambiente-1-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n            \n        <\/div>\n    \n<\/div>\n\n<p>Great work has been done in the school garden beds, which have always been lovingly tended by all the staff, and by the children and young people accompanied by their teachers.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from our small part to help the environment, this is the right way to interpret how to be part of a bigger...\" <strong>Project for the protection and care of our surroundings<\/strong>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In occasione della XIX Giornata Internazionale del Risparmio Energetico, L\u2019International House Oxford Group Lecce ha partecipato attivamente al progetto &#8220;M\u2019illumino di Meno 2023&#8221; volto a dimostrare l\u2019 impegno individuale e collettivo per l\u2019ambiente.
