A rock'n'roll beginning for the pupils of the Oxford International House school in Lecce. And knowledge is sown.

A truly rock start awaited the students of Oxford Group International House Primary School.
To welcome them on the first day of school, in fact, there wasn't the traditional ringing of the bell, but a choir made up of teachers and directed by Maestro Andrea Cataldo, who performed the very famous Queen song “We will rock you”.
Pupils, mums and dads were left speechless. The welcome ceremony featured The guiding thread is the library and the precious treasure hidden in every book: the seeds of knowledge. Each class placed a seed in a special pot (made for the occasion by the teachers) which will symbolically give rise to the’Tree of Knowledge, after carefully listening to the moving speech by director Annagrazia Buttazzo, who emphasised the importance of the ceremony.
The wish for all students is that these newly planted seeds may sprout, giving rise to the fruits of intelligence, knowledge, and competence. To the students of the Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Years, the important task of welcoming the fledglings who have for the first time approached the world of Primary School, greeting them with sweet Notes on the Montessori Anthem.
A day full of emotions that will remain etched in everyone's hearts, an original and exciting way to wish that the new school year is studded with great joys and enormous satisfactions.

Even the Oxford Middle School of Lecce He welcomed the students with a message of love for knowledge, peace, and solidarity. Following the greetings from director Buttazzo, who highlighted this year's common theme “The seeds of knowledge”– continuing the theme from last year – the children, in a book, symbolically planted the seeds that will then yield the fruits of beauty, kindness, friendship, honesty, love, and sincerity.
All words found inside a canvas bag that the school gave to each student. Printed on the bag is a quote from the Nobel Peace Prize winner. Malala Yousafzai: “A child, a teacher, a book and a pen can change the world”This thought and the words contained in the bag will constitute the first welcome activities for the students of the Oxford International House Institute in Lecce.
May it be a year dedicated to beauty and the rediscovery of the value of study and words capable of building a better world.
