The Bilingual Montessori Method

To form the citizens of the world. This is the educational aim of our school, which draws on the precious teachings of Maria Montessori, the most famous educator and pedagogue of all time.

The’individual autonomy is a very important achievement, which is obtained by promoting the development of the child through the Skills development and of the unique potential of every individual.

Citizens, thus trained, possess precise characteristics: aware of their cultural identity, open to new things, capable of making decisions independently, confident in their abilities.

Citizens of the world can place themselves in different social and political contexts and relate in the best way, they possess a Solid emotional balance, they do not like competition, they are tolerant and are inspired by the principles of solidarity and of the reciprocal collaboration.

The marvellous step taken by a child is the one that leads from nothing to something!

Activities

In a Montessori school, the teacher has a very important role: to guide and support the pupil on their learning journey, without punishing or rewarding. The teacher does not encourage competition, does not raise their voice, does not give commands, and above all, does not take over the child's activity for them. Specifically, according to the Montessori method, the teacher does not require a specific task to be completed, but instead offers pupils a choice, giving them the freedom to act, repeat the activity, or stop it, following each individual's pace. Once an activity is finished, the pupils know they must put the materials back in their place to facilitate their use by other classmates.
