
The school Primary
Our primary school is a A private school with an International Montessori orientation. The first and only primary school in Puglia to be accredited by Cambridge University to work with the Cambridge International programmes..
The teaching follows the curriculum indicated by the MIUR, supplemented by Montessori methodology and from there language studies, not only in their linguistic articulation but in the Total knowledge proposing pathways of excellence, recognised by Cambridge Assessment International Education, through the programmes of disciplines taught in English (English, Mathematics and Geometry, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, Drama and Global Perspectives)
Purpose
The primary aim of our school is to to enhance the potential of the individual to train free, autonomous and responsible citizens, according to the concepts at the base of Montessori pedagogy.
Teaching methodology
Fostering “holistic” child development is what our teachers aim for during their lessons; to achieve this requires a Positive atmosphere, where the child has the opportunity to to express yourself freely and to relate to their peers.
Activities
During the course of study, students are prepared to take the University of Cambridge Young Learners exams, in order to assess and certify the level of learning of the English language that the Cambridge Checkpoint international test at the end of Cambridge Primary, i.e. at the end of Year 6, for subjects taught in English.
Registrations
For enrollment in the first year of Primary School, it is necessary to have reached the age of six by 31 December of the school year in question. Children who turn six by 30 April of the school year in question can be enrolled in primary school, at the request of families.
Cambridge International School
The pupils at Oxford Institute study English (L1), Mathematics and Geometry, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT and Global Perspectives in English, with native-speaking teachers, following the Cambridge International Education Syllabi, for a total of 18 hours of English per week.
