CLIL Course/TKT Preparation

The TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) is a Cambridge English test designed to evaluate the skills theories and practices of teachers. This test, aimed at primary, secondary, and higher education teachers, welcomes both those with extensive teaching experience and those at the beginning of their careers. Contrary to what one might think, the TKT is not limited to language teachers, but is also open to those who teach other subjects and are interested in using the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology.

The course, delivered in English by qualified trainers, prepares participants for the CLIL module of the TKT.

A competence in the English language of at least level B2 or higher is required to successfully complete the exam.

International House Lecce proposes to the teachers a course focused on methodology and CLIL techniques, providing specific preparation for the TKT exam. The course focuses on the theoretical understanding of the CLIL methodology and its implementation in lesson design. Furthermore, practical techniques for planning effective lessons using the CLIL method are examined and applied, including the analysis of teaching materials and the discussion of assessment methods.

This is a practical course that highlights concrete teaching techniques, adaptable to various disciplines. It also offers the opportunity to try out CLIL lesson design, practice different techniques in micro-teaching, and engage in in-depth discussions on applying this approach to one-to-one teaching contexts as well.

The course is designed to illustrate many of the techniques used in the CLIL methodology, allowing participants to improve their ability to apply these techniques in their own educational context.
