B2 First, previously known as the First Certificate in English (FCE), is one of Cambridge English's most sought-after certificates, recognised by hundreds of companies and institutions worldwide.
Achieving the B2 First certificate demonstrates that you have the language skills needed to live and work independently in an English-speaking country or to study on courses taught in English.
B2 First is a test that covers all language skill areas.
The exam consists of 4 tests. The Speaking test is conducted with two candidates and two examiners, to create more realistic English conversation situations.
The computerised trial test does not provide an overall score. You can check your answers during the test using the provided solutions. However, once the test is completed, it will no longer be possible to check your answers.
The Cambridge English Scale is used to measure the results of our certifications and exams. The scores provide a detailed view of the candidate's level and are consistent across different exams, making it easier to compare results and understand progress from one level to another.
